Travel Pictures

I would love this. It is called "Why We LOVE travel" from NYTimes.

Click here to see some beautiful travel photos that I would love to call my own, but that would be a lie.

Five Reasons I love to travel:

1. experience something new that you wouldn't otherwise experience
2. talk to people from different walks of life, cultures, countries
3. EAT!!! lots and lots of different delicious and not so delectable bites
4. gain a broader perspective for your world - what was normal before you left may not seem so normal after you return home
5. sense of adventure and unknown - i love to not know what is around the corner or where i am going to sleep that night. life is exciting when its unknown

#5 Edit my own Video

I am living the life I want to live. This past semester I have compiled a long (and when I say "long" I mean long) list of things I want to do before I die.

Now slowly, but surely, I am living my life to cross items off the list.

#5 Edit my Own Video

Today I edited my own video. I have done this before for classes, but I wanted to edit footage for me. Something that is mine. To call my own. Today I did just that. Here is some footage form last September while I was traveling down the California Coast.

Now that I have started, I hope to finally compile all the footage I have from my road trip. It was such an amazing time of my life. I'm happy to have some video to prove it. Enjoy!

Summertime

It's officially been two weeks in Lawrence.

Time to start checking off things My List. Yes, I have a List for this summer. The List is yet to be published, but as I start to check things off, you will read all about it if you choose.

Think about making a List of your own. Write down those monotonous tasks that sound like great ideas during the busiest time of year, but you never have the time to tackle. Use your 'free' time' by doing something for yourself.

Treat Yourself.

Summer 2010 Begins

A month later...
Its unbelievable that a whole month has passed since Day 100 of my improvement challenge. I do feel like an improved woman but one can always improve. This summer is going to be full of fun and frequent change. I look forward to seeing what the summer brings.

The past month has been super busy and exciting. I was a tourist in Chicago one weekend, moved into an apartment in Lawrence the next, attended a wedding in Omaha after that, and then visited my boyfriend in Salina. What an eventful month.

This month I am taking summer classes here in Lawrence. There are 52 days until my school session is over. Let's see what I can get into in 52 days.

May my blogging bring you some joy this summer and bring me inspiration and thoughtfulness.
